It feels as though my life is a hurricane. So many times I wish i could go back. Instead of focusing on yesterday, I'll focus on today. Change.

Catching up: Exciting News!!!
Hello beautiful people!!! Guess who's getting married?!?! My wonderful fiance pop the question last Christmas while opening gifts with my parents. He hid the ring in a little black box inside of a purse he brought me as a gift. It's a wonderful feeling to know he loved me enough to make me his wife. I will be keeping you all updated on my wedding planning process.
Being engaged has brought a lot of things to my attention...things I should have addressed a long time ago. So, over the pass few years I have picked up on some bad habits, and I would hate to bring those habits in my marriage. I will address those habits in my upcoming blogs. In the mean time I hope you enjoy these photos of me and my love :)
God Bless

Time to Exercise
So, I've been trying to push myself to exercise and I think I've found the perfect solution. Although I love going running outdoors I'm not always able to go outside. So I came across exercisetv.tv. What I love about this website is they have tons of workouts that you can do without leaving your home! Usually what I do is choose a workout and put it on full screen mode on my laptop, then I get to work. Just in case you're wondering, this is a FREE website. They do have workouts that you can purchase and download for a very low cost as well. This will definitely make it a lot more easier for me to work out. Check it out!

Time to make a change.
Well....as some of you may or may not know...I made the decision to go natural. But ever since I decided to transition, I've experienced some serious breakage. So I went back to the drawing board, to figure out what I could do to better the health and improve the length of my hair.
1. Cut down my use of heat I know this probably the main cause of my hair breakage. I flat ironed my hair even more since I've been transitioning (and yes, I used a heat protector). I know, i know,....a big NO NO. So from now on I will only use direct heat once a month.
2. Before I use any direct heat, I will do a protein treatment.
3. Anytime I flat iron my hair, I will wear it straight for two weeks. During these two weeks I will continue to moisturize and seal as usual. In addition, I will use leave in conditioners as needed. After the two weeks, I will shampoo (this will be the only time I shampoo) and follow up with a deep conditioner.
4. I will co-wash and deep condition every week unless I flat iron (as stated above). Air dry only (this will be tough for me).
5. Protective Styling : Buns, braid outs, braids, twist/twist outs, roller sets etc.
6. Moisturize and seal every night. And cover with satin or silk scarf.
7. Biotin or MSM Supplement for growth??? I don't know if I will do this or not....if I do I will take a very low dosage. I'll keep you updated on this.

L.A. Candy
I've really been into books lately, and I wanted to get a book different from my usual pick. So I thought a nice drama-filled book would be good. I can admit to never really being a Lauren Conrad Fan, but not for any particular reason. Even though I may not have been a fan, I thought if anyone should know about drama, she would. A few weeks ago I was at Wal-Mart just browsing through the book section and I picked up and purchased "L.A. Candy"(paperback) for about $9.00.
Sadly, I'm the type of person who gets hooked into reality shows, and thats what this book definitely reminds me of. I absolutely loved it! Lauren Conrad also has a second book for L.A. Candy called "Sweet Little Lies" which I can't wait to buy. I wish I could tell you more about it, but I don't want to spoil it for you.
SO GO CHECK IT OUT!
Thanks for following my blog....I may have a few followers buy I'm very appreciative.
